Transfer season is getting underway and today, there has been yet another player linked with Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic.

The Australian will have several players on his radar heading into the summer and according to Hungarian outlet Nemzeti Sport, one of those is striker Eduvie Ikoba.

It is said Celtic are interested in the 25 year old along with Bundesliga side Stuttgart.

Ikoba was born in the USA but is eligible to represent Nigeria also.

He stands at an imposing 6″3 and currently plies his trade for Zalaegerszeg in the Hungarian top flight.

In 2022/23, he has scored 13 goals and assisted two in 32 appearances across all competitions.

His side won the first major trophy in their history this campaign in the Hungarian Cup and are due to play European football next season.

This attracts Ikoba to stick with Zalaegerszeg although he did say (Nemzeti Sport):

“If I were to get a contract from somewhere that would allow me to take another step in my career, I would consider the opportunity.”

It is fair to say Celtic could offer Ikoba this chance and his addition to the frontline would be a welcomed one that brings yet more depth, quality and versatility.
