PATRICK ROBERTS looks to be on his way out of Manchester City as the English Champions get set to use the Celtic favourite as bait to land Riyad Mahrez.

Leicester were keen on the tricky winger in January, but City couldn’t attach the player to any deal due to his loan with Celtic still having several months to run.

Now Paddy is set to return to the Etihad after the summer break with the news he’s being sold on a permanent basis.

Manchester City refuse to meet Leicester’s high asking price for Mahrez which is believed to be in the £70million category.

Using Roberts as a sweetener in the deal could give Leicester some incentive to sell at a lower price.

Patrick spent two and a half years at Celtic on-loan where he dazzled the Celtic support with some memorable performances and was a huge part of the invincible squad.

The midfielder’s impact during his final season didn’t live up to expectations because of injury.
