Treble Talk Only Coming From One Side of Glasgow

Since The Rangers were drawn against the champions of Scotland in the semi-final of the Scottish cup there has only been one thing on their mind; stop the treble!

Now you might say to yourself, of course they want to stop the treble. Stopping your local rivals from winning all the silverware is a massive incentive. However, the fear of a treble is consuming their lives to the point that the bears can no longer see the woods for the trees.

All week so far and up until Sunday, we will hear how The Rangers HAVE to stop the treble at all costs when the real story here is they are in a great position to try and win their first major trophy. Is their bitterness and hate so strong that the prospect of winning the prestigious Scottish pales in comparison to stopping Celtic from doing it? Ask your average bear on the street if he’d take a semi-final win right now even if it meant not winning the Scottish cup itself and they would slabber over your hands to take it.

Let’s not forget last year that they managed to defeat a very poor Celtic side on penalties only to be humbled in the final by Sir David Gray and a cast of former Celts.

The obsession with stopping a treble is strong and will motivate the Ibrox side but it could backfire spectacularly. Playing out of fear rather than a hunger for your own success is dodgy business indeed.

  1. Poor sad huns, it’s the only thing they have. Bitterness, is all they have. No money, a falling down stadium, a criminal to run things and a squad of players who are below a sunday morning pub outfit. The death of there new club is fast approaching and still they blame everyone else for there last clubs death, they sat back and watch it die. Come on celtic time to put these huns in there place.   3. The only danger on Sunday is not one official but 5, yes five!. Make no mistake, these people will be well and truly told to give Celtic nothing!. Even the “so called tlm” wee Willie winkie, will be out to bend the knee to his knuckle cracking bosses. Watch out, and you will not have to watch intently ,as they will cheat blatently and not bat an eyelid. They are scum and they know it.!
