Attacking Midfielder Mohammad Hassan, more commonly known as Trezeguet in the Egyptian league seems to have his heart set on a move to Celtic.

The club were linked with a move for the Egypt U21 international in the summer but nothing came of it in the end. However Celtic may resurrect interest in the young player who seems to think a bid is imminent.

The 19 year old didn’t waste any time telling the media that Glasgow was his preferred destination this month –

“I’ve repeatedly stated that I want to sign for Celtic”  He said.

“And I have been told that Celtic’s official offer to the club will arrive this week. The club know it is coming and will have plenty of time to find a replacement for me.”

Mohammad has 11 caps at Under-21 level and two goals, the player was part of the squad that won the African Youth Championship early last year.

He is contracted to Al Ahly and would command a transfer fee with the clubs chairman putting a £1 million price tag on his head, but Celtic may not be willing to part with so much for such an inexperienced player.
