Celtic trio Vasilias Barkas, Albian Ajeti and Boli Bolingoli could all be set for a transfer deadline day exit away from Glasgow.

According to Sun Sport, alongside the exits of Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie, there is expected to be loan interest in the three players who have failed to make an impact as of yet at the club.

Both Barkas and Ajeti were signings from last summers transfer dealings, with the fees for the two players coming to around £10 million. For that price, though, neither has made any sort of impact with the Hoops under either Neil Lennon or Ange Postecoglou.

Bolingoli has certainly had a different last 12 months or so, with the Covid incident that saw him loaned out to Turkish side Istanbul Basasksehir.

Now he finds himself falling down the pecking order at the club, with Greg Taylor, Liam Scales and Adam Montgomery all expected to be ahead of the Belgian.

Getting these players off the books might be a good move, but at this late stage in the window, it might be a tough task, but also players like Ajeti may be needed to stick around with now a potential lack of striking options.
