NEIL LENNON has quelled fears of Scott Brown or anyone else missing the Scottish Cup final even though three players sat out training on Thursday morning ahead of Saturday’s game.

Jozo Simunovic, Scott Brown and Kieran Tierney sat out the morning session at Lennoxtown according to SunSport as Lennon handles his players very carefully ahead of the showpiece event.

Scott Brown has been struggling with a broken toe he was playing on for some time without knowing. The Celtic captain had to stick on sandals to lift the League title last Sunday but absolutely no mention of the player missing the final when Lennon was asked about injuries on CelticTV.

The only man struggling to make the squad on the day is Oli Burke according to the interim Celtic boss.

“The only doubt we have at the minute is Oli Burke, obviously, he came off at half time. He has had a problem with the patella.

“He’s out doing a little bit of rehab work over the next day or so.

“The rest of the squad are looking good.”

Celtic have the chance to make history by landing their third consecutive treble. If the bhoys manage the feat it will unlikely ever be matched.
