The Green Brigade have thrown their full support behind Celtic fans gathering in Glasgow after trophy day to party in the streets to celebrate another title win.

There had been murmurings and WhatsApp group messages all week telling Celtic fans to make their way to the Trongate area after the game on Saturday.

Whatever the result on the day, Callum McGregor will hold the SPFL trophy aloft after the game has been played. It’s Celtic’s 53rd title in their long unbroken history.

Fans over the past few years have chosen that particular destination for a party; we’ve witnessed some incredible scenes over the years with the support getting together.

Unlike what we saw during the Covid season, everything is in good fun and good spirits.

This gathering won’t be sanctioned by the city or Police Scotland. However, the Police knowing ahead of time can ensure safety is key if there is any large gathering of supporters.

One thing we always see after these types of parties is the media condemning supporters for leaving the streets in a mess after the party has died down.

We urge everyone to stay safe and be respectful at all times.
