CELTIC are getting set to announce a two-year deal for Youssouf Mulumbu which should be the start of a busy last 24 hours in the transfer market.

The midfielder has been without a club since leaving Kilmarnock this summer after refusing a new deal.

The player has been in talks with Swansea and Bordeaux about a move this summer but Celtic have beaten off both clubs to land the player who will add experience to the Celtic side.

Yousuff, 31, started his career at PSG and has also had stints at Norwich and West Brom.

The player signed for Kilmarnock last season after being let go by Norwich and to help him find his form and fitness.

The midfielder was the catalyst for Kilmarnock’s top form under Steve Clark and he even scored against Celtic earlier this year.

Tweeting out last night, he wrote ‘Trust the Process’ as the deal was bein concluded.

  1. Liked what I saw of him at Kilmarnock and he stood out in the team…not BR age bracket for the team but think he could be a decent signing.

  2. Celtic didn’t want him last season, when they needed a defencive locomotive. Hope the go and buy someone to replace him. When he’s banned, injured or can’t be arsed like most of the Hoops backs. Good stop gap until they splash the cash more, why didn’t they get him last year, when he was looking for a better pay structure?????
