ANGE POSTECOGLOU is confident that the Celtic squad will be unaffected by the weekend’s result, and the team will carry on in their usual fashion.

The manager has said nothing has changed in training, following their usual routines as they prepare for Sunday’s match against Ross County.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the Celtic manager announced that nothing changed in and around Lennoxtown, saying;

“From our perspective, nothing’s changed. Whether we won last week or didn’t win last week our process will still be the same.

“That is to give feedback to the guys about our previous game’s performance and then we’ll move on pretty quickly.

“We’ve done that all year and it’s been a similar week. I understand the result was disappointing last week and we’re out of the cup but ultimately, in terms of the league, nothing changes for us after the weekend.

“We know we have five games to go, beginning this weekend. Every game is going to be its own unique little challenge and we’ve got to be ready for it.”

It was a tough one to take at the time, being beaten at Hampden by our rivals. However, if you look at the result from a different perspective, it’s not so pessimistic. Celtic have already won one trophy this season and are in an excellent place to push for the league title.

A double in Postecoglou’s first season is an achievement that shouldn’t be underplayed. Winning a treble in any season is challenging, but in a manager’s first season when he’s had to bring fourteen players to the club, it’s even tougher.
