Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers expects centre-half duo Auston Trusty and Cameron Carter-Vickers to be back fit to face Motherwell on Boxing Day after they missed the Hoops’ draw with Dundee United this afternoon.
It was a lacklustre performance from the Bhoys at Tannadice, in which they managed to register just three shots on target throughout the 90.
Despite dominating the ball, Celtic created little to no opportunities and will undoubtedly be disappointed after dropping Scottish Premiership points for only the second time this season.

Carter-Vickers and Trusty were two of five players who dropped out of Brendan Rodgers’ lineup this afternoon.
While their replacements, Liam Scales and Stephen Welsh, did a more than ample job at the heart of the defence, fans’ concerns were undoubtedly raised with the unavailability of Celtic’s first-choice centre-back pairing.
Pre-match, however, Brendan Rodgers eased any nerves: “Cam (Carter-Vickers) and Auston (Trusty) have not been well in the week and haven’t picked up,” he said (Sky Sports).
“We’re hoping they’ll be okay for the next game, but today it was too much for them.”
Next up for the Hoops is the visit of Motherwell on Boxing Day.
Trusty and Carter-Vickers will likely be back in contention for that one, with four days still to go until the Bhoys return to Parkhead.
Picking up three points in that one, and the clash at home to St. Johnstone a week today, is critical before the trip to Ibrox comes into view.
