DAVID TURNBULL and his representatives will now sit down with Celtic and thrash out a deal which will make him Neil Lennon’s first Celtic signing since returning to the club as full time manager.

The Irishman is said to be very keen on landing the midfielder and put him at the top of his wish list when he and Peter Lawwell sat down and discussed targets.

Many Celtic fans urged the club to get the deal done when news of Celtic’s interest leaked out into the press and it appears lessons have been learned from the John McGinn saga of last season with Celtic moving quickly to land their target.

RecordSport have divulged some more information about the transfer with Motherwell themselves not giving any clues as to what the final figure is.

The fee is believed to have MATCHED Motherwells £3million valuation but on top of that the Steelmen could be due another 250k on add-ons.

A record breaking deal for the club and one that helps secure their future.
