There are two Celtic players who were signed in the summer who could feature in the next six week and if they do would be making their debut.

Jonathan Afolabi and Lee O’Connor are both in the Ireland setup at under 21 level and Lee made his debut for the first team in the friendly win against New Zealand in November.

With so many games coming up and the injuries starting to pile up it would be crazy not to consider them for first team duty before the end of the year.

Afolabi can play up top and has been injured up until the last couple of weeks, if he’s fit again will Neil Lennon bring the bhoy onto the bench and maybe give him some time if things are going well in the second half against Livingston.

The same goes for O’Connor – Elhamed is out injured and so is Jozo, the Irishman can play right back, centre back and defensive-mid. Considering the Irish setup rate him so highly and where he can fit in, there’s every chance he plays some game time before all is said and done this year.

The only thing working against them is Neil Lennon’s reluctance to change the team too much from game to game. Rotating right now is something the Celtic manager is wary of doing but with injuries his hands may be forced.
