SEAD HAKSABANOVIC had to be substituted off for his country on Monday evening after just half an hour.

The new Celtic signing turned out for Montenegro against Finland, but last only until the 32nd minute.

The winger was just finding his feet at the club — now Ange Postecoglou and the Celtic support hold their breath to find out how severe the injury will be.

Elsewhere, there’s another injury concern for Celtic with Daizen Maeda confirmed to have a thigh injury. The Japanese star missed the Samurais final training session of the international break due to picking up the knock. Daizen is unlikely to play a part against Ecuador. Confirmed by Everything Celtic on social media.

It’s two wingers Celtic could be down for the weekend’s game against Motherwell. Luckily, Celtic have Jota at Lennoxtown and can hopefully call on Abada, assuming he comes back from international duty unscathed.

It’s not the ideal news for Celtic fans, but this is why Ange wanted a robust squad. We managed to win the league last season despite not having much in reserve. Fingers crossed both players aren’t too far away from fitness.
