TWO Celtic players have been named in a list of the youngest ever captains in Europe.
Both Kristoffer Ajer and Kieran Tierney make the list which have some very impressive and legendary names on it.
Kieran Tierney’s outing as Scotland captain put him on the list at 20-years-old and the emerging Ajer actually captain his side back in Norway at the tender age of 16.
Youngest captains ever:
Kristoffer Ajer 16 years old (IK Start)
Mamadou Sakho 17 (PSG)
Fernando Torres 19 (Atletico)
Patrick Vieira 18 (Cannes)
Matthijs de Ligt 18 (Ajax)
Ruben Neves 18 (Porto)
Kieran Tierney 20 (Scotland)
Francesco Totti 21 (Roma)
Tony Adams 21 (Arsenal) pic.twitter.com/J6RX9eh5lq

Both players are considered first team players at Celtic, with Ajer making the breakthrough this year.
If you look at this list, it’s only some of the best who get the opportunity to take the armband at a young age and we’re not surprised by this one bit.
