The football writers player of the year nominations are up and only TWO Celtic players make the cut overall.

Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor have been put forward for Player of the year with Alfredo Morelos and Lawrence Shankland the other two involved.

However, there’s no room for Jeremie Frimpong on the young player of the year category or Ryan Christie who has scored so many for Celtic this term.

Celtic have had a number of standouts and the two picked are certainly two of our top performers. Lawrence Shankland had a lot to do with Dundee Utd being promoted and was part of a championship-winning side like Edouard and McGregor and Alfredo Morelos nearly scored against Celtic a couple of times.

Neil Lennon is up for manager of the year. Here is the full list:

  1. Of course there’s no Celts there, these scumbags don’t think it’s fair for us to win everything! So if they can’t beat us on the pitch they try to beat us off of it as pathetically as they can.
