Former Celtic players – Shane Duffy and Odsonne Edouard could potentially be set to face off this evening as Brighton take on Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

The two players were, of course, teammates last campaign in what was an extremely disappointing season for the club.

However, it has been a bit of a change of fortune for both players so far down south.

After what was a disastrous loan spell for Duffy at his boyhood club, he has been enjoying life in the Premier League at the start of the season, being hailed by Brighton boss Graham Potter for his early performances.

This evening, he could be up against a familiar face in Odsonne Edouard, who is still looking for his first start under Patrick Vieria at Palace after joining the London club in the summer on deadline day.

He has made a good start to life with the Eagles, scoring a double off the bench on his debut against Tottenham Hotspur.

Last season wasn’t the best for the Frenchman either with the standards he left in previous campaigns.

However, he still managed to finish it as top goalscorer with 20 in the SPFL.

It will be interesting to see the match-up between the two if the former Hoops duo are to start against one another, in what is seen as somewhat of a derby between both sets of Brighton and Crystal Palace fans.
