Celtic will welcome back some of their players next week, the bhoys who are out on international duty will join up with the team further down the line.

We have a manager now, thankfully, but there’s still more questions than answers when it comes to next season.

There are two loan players set to return to the club who had zero influence under Neil Lennon in the end; Boli Bolingoli and Marian Shved.

Boli was the first COVID blow of the season when he decided to go into business for himself and leave the country. The defender was fined and sent out on loan, we had the government on our backs and games were postponed. In hindsight, Celtic and Boli were held to a different standard than another club in Glasgow – we all witnessed the lack of an issue when players went to house parties during the heaviest of lockdowns.

Does Boli have a future at Celtic – that’s one of the questions that needs to be asked. Ange has no relationship with the player and will go to Lennoxtown with a fresh set of eyes – is there a bigger chance of the Belgian sticking around now? Certainly more chance than there was if Neil Lennon was still the manager.

Two seasons on since Marian Shved came into the club and the lad is still a youtube highlight reel. We’ve got to see very little of the winger, it was most likely down to aptitude and attitude why he didn’t cut the mustard at Celtic.

Could the Ukrainian be another man who gets a fresh look or is he desperate to get out of Celtic Park?

Ange won’t be at Lennoxtown straight away to get these things done early, we will have to wait and see.
