CELTIC are closing in on eight-in-a-row. The title could be won as early as this Sunday at Easter Road depending on results elsewhere. However, when the league title win does come we have a Scottish Cup to look forward to at the end of May before a very short break for the Celtic players
UEFA have announced Champions League fixtures for next season already and the bhoys will be back in competitive action 47 days later in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.
The draw for the first round will be made on June 18th with the players set to head to Austria and Switzerland shortly after for a trio of matches for pre-season.
After qualifying for the Champions League group stages two seasons in a row – the bhoys missed out on a place at the start of this season falling at the third round to a very average Athens side.
Getting a full time manager promptly is vital to preparing the squad for the qualifiers. It’s becoming harder to qualify for the big tournament and Celtic must not handicap themselves as they have in the past.
