CELTIC and AIK are in the dock for the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie it has emerged on UEFA’s website.

Celtic have been charged in two counts: Fans use of fireworks in the ground and throwing of objects.

AIK are being pulled up because of blocked stairways inside the Friends arena.

Celtic’s 4-1 win was marred by what looked like very heavy handed Swedish security assaulting Celtic fans for no particular reason.

There is no mention of that in any of the charges and deals specifically with the use of pyro and what’s said to be things being thrown.

To this point, we’ve seen nothing to suggest Celtic fans were throwing any objects and it will be interest to see how the club deals with the charge. The hearing is set for September 19z

Celtic smashed six past AIK over two legs to get into the group stage of the competition. The club have dates with Lazio, Rennes and Cluj.
