Celtic will be in the UEFA Europa League draw this morning at 11am.

The hoops are in pot 2 for the competition which is sure to be a competitive tournament.

Unlike previous years, there will be no chance to quickly look at trips away – even if it’s allowed because UEFA will take up to 10 days to sort out the fixture list. They hope to have things sorted by Saturday but special cases could arise.

The reasoning behind the move is the governing body must navigate through all the different countries and their protocols to make sure fixtures can be fulfilled.

There could be neutral venues used if there are particular hot spots or issues for teams getting into certain countries. The return of away fans could be huge.

Scotland is open at the moment but things can change quite quickly. It will be a minefield to try and get everything spot on.

Right now, we can hopefully look forward to three home ties which will see a full capacity at Celtic Park.

There are some great ties open to Celtic in the group stages – let’s hope for an exciting draw.
