UEFA have confirmed Celtic and The Rangers will come as a pairing during the Europa League group draw today. This is to facilitate TV kick-off times between clubs in the same country. If a paired club is drawn, for example, in groups A, B, C, D, E or F the other paired club – once drawn – will automatically be assigned to the first available group of G, H, I, J, K or L.

Celtic overcame AIK with a thumping 6-1 aggregate win against the Swede’s and find themselves in today’s draw.

Here is what you need to know.

Confirmed Pots

Celtic can’t draw a team from their own country so there will be no Euro Glasgow Derbies.

Draw time

The draw will take place at 12pm UK time today.

Match Dates

Matchday one: 19 September
Matchday two: 3 October
Matchday three: 24 October
Matchday four: 7 November
Matchday five: 28 November
Matchday six: 12 December

Can I watch the draw?

Yes, it will be on UEFA.com at midday today.

It may not be the Champions League but looking at the teams Celtic could face then it will be a stern test with some box office matches potentially on offer.

Celtic got to the last 32 of the competition last season and will be looking to get there again if not go one better.
