UEFA have built a deadline into their latest small print according to SunSport which states they want the SPFL to have their league season done and dusted by the end of July.

The governing body said the game was postponed until further notice but Stewart Fisher has read into the fine detail and believes the deadline.

Basically, at that point UEFA will turn to the SPFL and ask who they will be nominating for European competitions. To do that, you need to have a definitive league standing and things properly sorted.

Celtic are waiting to find out what route they must take to have the title confirmed. The SPFL will have to show their hand sooner or later. Knowing the way they tend to operate, it will be much later.
