Ange Postecoglou branded his players attacking discipline after their 2-1 victory against Livingston at Celtic Park.

The bhoys made hard work of the game despite dominating the majority of the play. The Scottish champions went 2-0 up just before half time when they switched off and conceded a poor goal to the away side.

The game would finish 2-1 with no goals in the second half. Liel Abada had the ball in the back of the net but it was chopped off for offside after four minutes of deliberation.

Celtic looked relatively comfortable, at 2-1, however, you know a sucker punch is always a possibility. On the night it was a bit nervy in the stands but the players handled it well.

One really noticeable flaw in Celtic’s game was the number of times they put balls into the six yard box with nobody getting on the end of them. There were some really top deliveries with pace, the kind of passes that just need slight touches to stick them in the back of the net. Celtic missed more than a few of those opportunist and scored one of them through a Livingston player putting the ball in the back of his own net.

After the game, Ange put it down to a pack of discipline and branded the missed chances as ‘unacceptable’.

That’s two wins in two for the bhoys who maintain their lead at the top of the table. A nine point gap between themselves and second, going into the final two games of 2022.
