Celtic failed to keep their perfect home run in the league at home this season going as they drew 1-1 with Motherwell at Parkhead.

The Hoops weren’t at their best and post match, Ange Postecoglou appeared a frustrated figure.

The Australian admitted his side were ‘disappointing’ in the stalemate as he told Celtic TV:

“Fair to say it’s disappointing in terms of outcome and performance.

“First half we were okay, we controlled the game and obviously we scored and we knew the game would sort of open up at some point and we just had to stay disciplined.”

Ange’s men, however, did not stay disciplined and were pegged back on 55 minutes.

Despite attempts to go back in front, the Bhoys couldn’t find a vital winner:

“We had some chances after that [Motherwell equaliser] but we weren’t good enough to put them away.”

Carl Starfelt went close deep into stoppage time meanwhile Oh missed a sitter minutes prior although the goal just never came.

This was undoubtedly frustrating for everyone involved with Celtic as it put end to their formidable home record which had seen them win every league game at Parkhead up to this point:

“It’s fair to say the boys have been on an unbelievable run and you know that in football those kind of things come to an end at some point so you kind of understand that.”

Overall from today, Postecoglou will certainly be saddened but the result has no affect on when Celtic can win the league.

Moreover, the draw gives the Hoops the chance to regroup, learn from their mistakes and go again ahead of a crucial semi final next week.
