It must be tough for a professional athlete who is used to training and competing in state of the art facilities every day to be reduced to a spinning bike in the spare bedroom. While it is good news that our Celtic stars are all doing their bit from home to keep themselves fit, it can’t compare to having a ball at your feet and a real lack of competition.

We all know by now the majority of the Celtic squad have been keeping fit from the comfort of their own homes. With a Celtic developed App, player results are recorded and fed back to the team each week. With a ferocious appetite for winning in the champions squad, we don’t expect any player will be taking it easy.

Celtic captain Scott Brown was telling the official club website his take on the whole thing and revealed the player that is topping the charts for the high-intensity training and the slight advantage he has over the rest of the team.

“I’ve got a bike in the house and I’ve been out running as well, so it’s been different.”

“At the end of each week, Jack Nayler puts up a chart of who’s winning, who’s done the most high-intensity workrate, who’s ran the highest peaks, which Kris Ajer seems to be winning every day because I think he stays on a cliff!”

With all the uncertainty surrounding the Scottish game, it is important players try to keep their focus and training is probably the only way they know how to.
