Celtic could have to find a new home for Leigh Griffiths in the final six months of his Hoops deal if Dundee want to cut his loan deal early this month.

Leigh hasn’t found any sort of form since signing for Dundee at the beginning of the season and according to RecordSport, there’s a beak clause in the loan deal.

The 31-year-old has no future at Celtic and will most certainly be let go once his contract expires at the end of the season.

If Dundee want to cut ties with the forward; Celtic will either have to send Leigh out somewhere else before the end of the month – or allow the striker to see out his contract training at Lennoxtown.

Neither situation is ideal – Celtic will be hoping Dundee keep a hold of Leigh.

Scottish football is currently shutdown for the winter break, if the former Scottish international is to be sent back, it’ll likely happen before the restart in around two weeks time.
