NEIL LENNON fired back at the media on Sunday after his team strolled past high flying Hibernian at Celtic Park.

In what was billed as a close encounter with Celtic not at their best recently and Hibernian aiming high, the bhoys made easy work of it in the end.

During his post-match interview, Neil Lennon was asked about the transfer speculation surrounding Odsonne Edouard and more recently Ryan Christie; it sounded like the Celtic boss had enough and was very forthright in what he perceives as media interference and lies.

“We can’t affect that, that’s out of our control. There’s nothing in the stories again.” Neil Lennon told BBC Sports Scotland.

“The media create these stories and then ask me about them. I have no answer to them because there is just no foundation to them whatsoever.

“It’s the last week of the window, and again I’m disappointed that stories are coming out that are unfounded on the day of an important game.

“We had it last week with Ajer, and we’ve got it this week with Ryan and Odsonne.”

Celtic are still one point off the top with a game in hand and will now be preparing for their game against Sarajevo on Thursday.

If the team plays like they did against Hibs they’ll breeze into the Europa League group stage.

Ajeti suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday and will not fly out with the Bhoys. We’re still waiting to find our if Christopher Jullien will make the squad after missing the past three games.
