It’s been a point of contention since fans starting being allowed into stadiums. The lack of away support at Celtic Park and across the city have irked the rest of the league.
Celtic have made it clear they can’t facilitate away fans because of the red zone implemented for player safety during games. The club also told CeltsAreHere they couldn’t accommodate fans because they couldn’t displace access to disabled supporters. Something backed up by Celtic SLO on social media.
As soon as we can accommodate our visually impaired and disabled Season Ticket Holders we will but we need an area for them which provides them with easy access and exiting in a safe environment as soon as no Red Zone required it will return to normal

The SPFL red zone takes up more space than the UEFA implemented safety measures and it’s causing a problem.
Record Sport have claimed two clubs have wrote to the SPFL about the situation and the rule book could come into play.
The SPFL’s Rule I 27 states home clubs must make provision for “reasonable number of visiting supporters at every home match”.
In the event of there being no agreement able to be put in place, the SPFL Board are empowered by Rule I 28 to specify a number of away fans and their decision is “final and binding”.
Celtic have to explore ways to allow away fans back into the stadium.
Celtic fans will be upset if other clubs begin to lock them out of stadiums. Yes, this would hit these clubs in the pocket but they could still do it to make a stand.
Let’s hope this gets figured out sooner rather than later. If fans want to come to Celtic Park to watch their side, let’s make it happen.
