CELTIC will be up against it in the Europa league if they don’t invest in the January window.

With the Europa League draw set to take place on Monday, there are some massive clubs Celtic could come up against as we are unseeded.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will take on either one of the Europa League group winners or a best-placed side dropping in from the Champions League.

Those teams include Arsenal, Napoli, AC Milan and Villareal – all daunting opponents if you watched Celtic struggle against a pretty average Anderlecht side last night.

That’s why squad investment is key if Celtic have any real desire to compete in the competition. We will find out very quickly if the board are to rest on their laurels after participating in the Champions League again, or will they step up and help Rodgers boost his side.

  1. “Euro giants” you say, and then the first club you mention is Arsenal? Pfft! Their record in Europe, whilst impressive enough, isn’t as good as Celtics, Celtic have appeared in more European finals than Arsenal, and were the first club from Britain to be champions of Europe, something Arsenal never managed to achieve.

  2. Totally no need in that comment ma man theyre still a huge club? n a hink everycunt knows we were the first to do that . Point oot the obvious jeeeeeeez.
