Fabrizio Romano has delivered an interesting early morning Celtic transfer update that will delight Hoops supporters.

The in the know Transfer specialist revealed there has been interest in Celtic striker Gorgios Giakoumakis, however the Scottish Champions and the player have shut down the idea of him leaving Celtic Park!

This is great to hear. Giakoumakis had a very strong second half of the season after missing the first half through injury. His instinctive striking ability has certainly raised his profile. Most of his goals are one touch finishes and he showed that again at the weekend with an outstanding overhead kick.

14th August 2022; The BBSP Stadium Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, Scotland: Scottish premier league football, Kilmarnock FC versus Celtic: Giorgos Giakoumakis of Celtic salutes the fans in celebration after he makes it 5-0 in the 82nd minute with an overhead kick

It’s refreshing to see players not clamouring to leave the club as soon as there’s interest from down south. Giakoumakis is happy and we’re happy to have him.

The big man is yet to start a game this season, however, that will likely change when Celtic enter the Champions League and League Cup in the next few weeks.

  1. Not so long ago the suits who used to run the balance of books would have sold Geo from under the supporters noses. Usual suspects excuse would be ‘they wanted to leave for more money, they fell out with the fans, their wife, lover, family were unsettled by Glasgow thuggery, their agents turned their heads with pastures new’.

Ohh, how we cried, Ohh, how we cheered at our tower Pc screens, Ohh how some of us ran down to Celtic park to complain. And fly the flags of dismay and war.
Hopefully those days are in the past outside Paradise.

Sell Ajeti and free up £2.000.000 a year for better things like player wages, leave Geo and co to play happily, if they do wish to leave, they they can.
Won’t be fooled again, then again. The Celtic way
