CELTIC are set to take on Livingston this evening but there has been doubt cast over the game after heavy snowfall in Lothian overnight.

The image of the artificial surface covered in snow set alarm bells ringing, especially when you take into account Livingston have had their problems over the past few weeks; having a game postponed.

Even though the pitch is artificial, Livingston’s surface was described as unusable and waterlogged a few weeks back.

Sunsport have been told there is NO chance the game is in jeopardy this evening and the home side are getting geared up for the visit of Celtic.

This will be good news to suffering Celtic fans who want to get back to the football and leave behind the last few weeks and months.

We want to see a winning Celtic team do their stuff. It’s not going to be easy, Celtic have not won at this stadium in quite some time and Livi are still on an unbeaten streak.

  1. With all the shi7e that has happened lately. The squads could have a snowball fight. Just roll up a baw and kick it into the oppositions goal. Done.

  2. Sorry, but if you can’t supply a playable surface in this day and age you shouldn’t be allowed to play premier league football!
This is a multi million pound business and the state of some of the pitches in Scotland really make the game a laughing stock.
It’s hard to defend the ‘pub league’ jibes from Dan staff when clubs like Hamilton are getting away with this nonsense.
You can’t tell me they’re not getting an advantage from it either, both on and off the so called pitch.
It’s virtually maintenance free, so no cost for groundsmen or materials and it looks like no underground heating, leaving them cash other smaller teams have to spend and training on it week in week out, playing on it every second week, rather than being thrown onto it a few times a season and having to adjust to a surface that is, well, just not conducive to playing decent passing intelligent entertaining football is a clear advantage to the home side.
    It’s really amateur stuff!
