Brighton boss Graham Potter has given an update on how things stand with Shane Duffy after it was suggested there was a get-out clause for the club in January to cut Duffy’s deal.

The Brighton boss has refuted that and said he’s unaware of anything like that in the deal.

He has, however, backed his loan player to come good for Celtic after a tough start in Glasgow.

Duffy has not started a game for Celtic since the start of November and he appears to have fallen out of favour with Neil Lennon.

There are many fans who think the club would be better off putting their resources elsewhere but he might just get another crack at things before all is said and done.

Duffy is a Celtic fan and it will be hurting him the team is not playing well and that he’s not put his best foot forward thus far.
