YESTERDAY, CeltsAreHere.com explored the number of penalties that teams in the SPFL had conceded this season.

Surprising no one, The Rangers had conceded the least amount of penalties this season, yet to have a single one awarded against them.

Well, it’s no shock again as we look at the most penalties awarded for teams this season. The Rangers are joint top, winning nine penalties in the league this season, converting eight of them; level with them is Aberdeen.

Celtic sit in the bottom half of the table, with just five penalties to their name this season, but only four have resulted in a goal.

Giakoumakis’ spot kick rifled against the post during Celtic’s visit to Livingston in October.

There are plenty of valid claims Celtic have had waved on this season and some extremely harsh and questionable decisions made, but the team haven’t kicked up a fuss as they continued in their title charge

It looks like their efforts are about to be awarded, nine points ahead of their rivals with just nine left to play. It’s set to be a great ending to the season.
