OSAZE URHOGIDE has stalled on a loan move which would see him finish the season with Dundee. The young defender has only made one competitive appearance under Ange Postecoglou.

Scott Burns, of the Daily Express, has been in contact with the Dundee gaffer, James McPeake, and he has confirmed that the clubs had an agreement and had started discussions with the player. It is thought that the defender would prefer a move to England than Scotland’s top flight.

“We spoke to Celtic regarding Osaze.

It’s got to the point where we have spoken to the player, spoken to the agent and it looked like it was going to happen.

It has stalled, unfortunately, at the minute.”

I believe that for the former Sheffield Wednesday man’s development, a move to a club in the same league as Celtic would be highly beneficial. It has worked in the past, with Ajer spending a season at Killie and upon his return to Celtic, he was basically first-team ready.

As many know, the Scottish leagues are very different to the leagues south of the border. If he wants to break into Celtic’s first team, challenging himself in the same league as the Parkhead side would be the sensible option.
