The BBC is reporting this evening that Valencia star Geoffrey Kondogbia is in the dock for DELIBERATELY getting himself booked in the late stages of Thursday night’s game at Parkhead.

Kondogbia was yellow carded for time wasting on the 82nd minute of the game when Valencia were 2-0 up in the tie.

The yellow card means the player misses the return leg after picking up too many cautions in the competition.

The thought process being he can skip the second leg with his team sitting pretty and he’ll not miss any further ties later down the line.

UEFA has signalled their intention to investigate the matter and the hearing will be held next week, hours before the second leg of the tie between Valencia and Celtic.

The bhoys looked shellshocked and bereft of ideas on Thursday night as a streetwise Valencia picked them off to take a comfortable 2-0 away lead into their home tie.
