Vasilis Barkas missed Celtic’s game at the weekend against Aberdeen with an injury, but this evening, Neil Lennon has confirmed the goalkeeper has travelled to France with the rest of the squad.

Barkas has had an average start to his Celtic career with far too many prejudging the player. The only reason the Greek star was out at Pittodrie was because of a shoulder problem.

Lenny has revealed there is still an ongoing issue but wouldn’t reveal either way whether Barkas would start against Lille.

Celtic are looking to get their first points on the board in the Europa League against a very strong Lille side. The bhoys will have to be at their best and a bit more to get a result.

If Barkas doesn’t make it, Scott Bain will step in once again and hopefully aim for a clean sheet on the night.

Celtic have a massive game on Sunday against Aberdeen where they chase more history but they must focus at the task in hand on Thursday evening.
