Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported on Friday evening that Celtic star Josip Juranovic is in ‘advanced talks’ with German side Union Berlin this evening and is expected to sign.

The Celtic defender has been linked with a move away since the World Cup. While he was helping Croatia to a third-place finish in the International tournament, Celtic had already signed his replacement Alistair Johnston.

Since the transfer window opened, Celtic fans have been wondering how long the defender would stick around. He has been back in the fray in January and even played on Wednesday against St Mirren at left-back.

With less than two weeks to go of the winter transfer window, things are beginning to ramp up. Ange Postecoglou revealed teenager progress had been made for both incomings and outgoings.

If Josip heads to Union Berlin, we wish him all the best, but personally, I thought he had a bigger move in him.

Celtic face Morton in the Scottish Cup on Saturday afternoon. Usually a line up could hint at who’s staying and going, but because there’s likely to be a lot of changes, it’s not quite the directive it would be under different circumstances.
