ANGE POSTECOGLOU suffered a shocking defeat to fourth tier side Honda FC in the Emperor’s cup on Wednesday afternoon but that didn’t stop the manager from receiving a standing ovation on his way out.

The Yokohama Marino fans have fallen in love with their manager and know he’s about to head to Glasgow to begin a new adventure.

The manager slowly took the applause, obviously gutted by the result as he waved goodbye to the fans.

Hoops supporters are hoping for no more delay when it comes to appointing Neil Lennon’s successor. The Australian boss looks likely to head out of Japan shortly and begin preparation for next season with Celtic.

Anybody who has covered Ange over the past ten years and beyond has nothing but good things to say about the manager. He’s been described as charismatic and a man who doesn’t suffer fools.

We hope he can hit the ground running once announced as the new manager of the football club.

  1. Ange is a top performer so let us not be fooled by those who would try to pretend otherwise. This is no rookie manager, this is a guy with a track record at both domestic and international level, winning at both levels. We’re in good hands here.
