Ange Postocoglu named a very strong Celtic side to face West Ham in today’s last preseason friendly at Paradise. Most people thought an alternative eleven would have been selected with a second-leg Champions League qualifier to be played away on Wednesday night.

Newly-appointed Celtic captain Callum McGregor took only 7 minutes to get the Bhoys off to a winning start with a real captain’s goal. It is early days under a new regime but attacking wise it looks like something different is developing under Ange.

Pre-match commentators, Strachan, Sutton, and Hartson all noticed the more direct, one-touch football the Bhoys are playing while on the attack.

Celtic’s main area of concern is the backline and they could do with a clean sheet today against a strong Hammers team who finished sixth in the Premier League last season.

Barkas has pulled off one really good save just before the Celtic goal and he is one player that needs a shot of confidence into the arm.
