Celtic fans are still buzzing after Wednesday nights results in the SPFL. Celtic had returned home after four away days and four impressive wins. Now they needed to apply the same newfound killer instincts on a struggling Hearts team.

Hearts have been a stumbling block for Celtic over the past few seasons but they were swept aside by Neil Lennon’s new look 2020 goal-scoring machine. Oliver Ntcham put the Bhoys 1-0 up in the first half before Celtic came back down the tunnel to stick in another four.

Over at Rugby Park, Celtic’s nearest challengers bottled it for the second season in a row. Other teams just don’t have the experience or mentality of champions. That was not lost on these fans at Paradise after the full-time whistles around Scotland were blowing.

The only thing unusual about Wednesday nights 5-0 win is that neither striker was on the score sheet. The Bhoys had five separate goal scorers with Ntcham, Jullien, McGregor, Christie and Simunovic all finding the net.

Next up is another tough away fixture on Sunday at Pittodrie against Aberdeen.
