Loan bhoy Jack Hendry was forced off after an hour for Oostende at the weekend after what can only be described as a horror challenge.

The Celtic defender was voted the best defender in Belgian football this season after a string of fantastic performances for his loan club.

Hendry cut a poor figure at Celtic, when he got some game time the player looked out of his depth and Neil Lennon was not keen on keeping him around.

The lad has genuinely gone out and made things happen for himself. He could have gone down south to a lower league English club but instead decided to try his hand in Belgium’s top flight. It’s a decision that’s paid off big time for Jack and now he has a big decision to make in the summer.

Will he stay on with Oostende who do have an option to buy, or will he return to Celtic and fight for his place under a new regime? Hopefully Jack hasn’t suffered any long term problem from the challenge.
