CELTIC beat Aberdeen on Sunday to go straight to the top of the SPFL after the first round of matches.
The bhoys in green ran out 2-0 winners against Jim Godwin’s side who tried to stay in the game by playing an overly negative style of football that offered very little in the way of excitement or opportunities.
Celtic weren’t at their best, but they were still miles ahead of The Dons.
An early goal from Stephen Welsh set them on their way before Jota made sure of all three points with a stunning strike 15 minutes from time.
