Our captain led by example today in the pre-match warm ups as he crossed over into his rivals half to extend a handshake to his Glasgow Derby rival Glen Kamara.

The scenes at Ibrox on Thursday night were uncomfortable viewing and the days after the event where we’ve witnessed some disgusting banners and comments, it was absolutely right our captain went over to embrace Glen and let him know Celtic stand with him.

There’s no room for any form of racism in today’s society and to hear the details of what was said during Thursday’s Europa League game was horrifying.

This was a classy move by our captain who did it off his own back unprompted.

Fans of both sets of supporters praised the move and it was a great image to show there are more important things which superseded football rivalry.

It was a rather quiet Derby day in Glasgow. No fans in or around the stadium and on the field, no fiery clashes or massive flash points.

The game ended 1-1 with Celtic ensuring a Derby whitewash can’t be completed.

  1. Broony showed his class, what a guy, and what a leader. In the midfield, he outshone Davis and came out on top on and off the field. He MUST get a contract. Leaders are few and far between, DO IT?
