ODSONNE EDOUARD suffered the unfamiliar feeling of international defeat with the France under 21s on Tuesday night.

Switzerland beat France 3-1 on the night after it got off to the best start possible for Edouard and his teammates.

France got a penalty early in the first half and it would be Edouard given the opportunity to put his country ahead. He did just that when the player challenged his inner Moussa Dembele and scored a Paneka, softly chipping the Swiss goalie. Something we all saw Moussa Dembele do against The Rangers at Hampden a few years back.

It wasn’t to be for the French under 21s on the night and the unfamiliar taste of defeat for the Celtic striker will hopefully drive him on for the rest of the year as he returns to the Celtic squad where a massive end to November and hectic December list will shape our season.
