CELTIC are up against it in their Champions League qualifier after being in the ascendency. Liel Abada scored the opened for the Hoops on a dream competitive debut at Celtic Park.

However, he would have to come off shortly after his goal when Nir Bitton sold the jersey and got himself sent off.

Having been on a yellow already, Bitton reacted after watching a Midtjylland player dive to try and win a penalty. Instead of walking away, he got into it and raised his hands to his opponent. It was a poke to the eye and the referee was happy to send Nir off.

It was so needless, Bitton is one of the more senior players in that team and he’s let his side down badly. The manager looked incensed on the touch line and no wonder!

Celtic fans on social media and at the stadium were not happy with the Israeli player. Some going as far as saying his time at Celtic should be up.

  1. No need to go anywhere near the player expecially when on a Yellow?
You have to ask what goes through their heads?!?!?
And now we have soured the debut of the goalscorer because of this!
