So far today at Paradise it has been a story of Celtic’s deadly duo up front. Leigh Griffiths bagged a brace in the first half today against St. Mirren to set the Hoops on track to open up a sixteen point lead in the league table. Leigh has had his chances to get a hattrick but his partner in crime, French Eddy has just scored to give the champions a 3-0 lead.

The French hitman assisted Griffiths with the first goal of the game in the first half before he scored a goal he had no right to in the second half. His never-ending arsenal of tricks and skill helped the young forward to bag his 28th goal of the season.

Neil Lennon will be delighted how things have gone so far today, his strikers are making a very clear statement to their manager that he must start the two upfront next week in the Glasgow derby at Ibrox. He certainly has been left with a big choice to make after today.

The best football Celtic have played this season has been when they have played with two upfront.
