Celtic have taken the lead against Livingston thanks to James Forrest who makes it two goals in two starts for the winger.

We have certainly missed the natural width Forrest gives us and the goals he can provide from the right wing position.

His directness and ability to drag players with him opens up so much more space than we’re used to getting this season.

James must start at Ibrox next week in the Scottish Cup fourth round tie.

The winger has been out since September last year and anyone who doubted his influence on the team will be eating humble pie.

He clearly gives Celtic something different and allows Celtic to play a more natural formation with the 4-2-3-1.

It’s a good sign for next season if we can get the likes of Forrest and McGregor full of confidence before the end of this campaign. James will be playing out his skin to try and get back into the Scotland team for the Euros.
