Kieran Tierney is no stranger to big derby days. Today, the ex-Celtic defender played a massive part in a much-needed Arsenal win over city rivals Spurs. The Gunners went down by a Lamela goal in the first half before KT burst forward for a brilliant assist to level the game on the 44th minute.

Once again Celtic fans are reminded of the bargain Arsenal got for their academy graduate.

Arsenal went in front in the second half with a Lacazette penalty. The Gunners looked in cruise control for most of the game but Spurs goalscorer Erik Lamela saw fit to elbow Tierney in the face and got himself sent off for a second yellow. Arsenal held on to run out 2-1 winners.

Arsenal have struggled all this season as much as Spurs but Tierney’s input today helps his team climb the EPL table as they hit some form at the right part of the season.

Some Celtic fans wonder why we still follow KT with such interest and it shouldn’t need too much of an explanation. We’re sure Kieran will be tuned in to next week’s Glasgow derby.
