Kristoffer Ajer has really hit the ground running with his new club. Brentford have started life in the Premier League well and currently sit 9th in the table after six games.

The Norwegian had his toughest test to date when Liverpool came to town looking to stretch their lead at the top.

It was an outstanding an open game with both sides leading at different points during the match.

The game ended 3-3 in what was a memorable day for Brentford and their fans.

One big flashpoint during the game was Kristoffer Ajer’s heroics as he cleared the ball off the line when Mo Salah thought he’d given Liverpool the lead.

It was a tale of two former Celtic defenders on the field with Ajer at one side and Virgil van Dijk on the other. In the end, they got a share of the spoils.

The defender left Celtic in the summer when he made it clear to the club he wanted to move on. Even though Ajer was on the final year of his deal, Celtic still got a large fee for the Norwegian.
