We have been a proponent of Luca Connell getting his chance at Celtic next season.

When the new management team comes in there has to be a mix of new players, current stars and young Hoops to make up the squad next season.

Luca is certainly someone the club should be looking to develop over the next 18 months.

The Irish international has made a big impact at Queens Park in a short space of time and has a league winners medal for his efforts.

The midfielder grabbed another goal for his loan club on Friday night with a neat effort from outside the area.

It’s clear Luca can be an asset to any new Celtic manager.

His set pieces and crossing are better than a lot of the players in the current first team and he has an eye for goal from the midfield.

Neil Lennon gave the bhoy no chance to shine after bringing Connell in from Bolton. Hopefully, he can make the first-team squad in preseason.
